Dr. Kosho is an Associate Professor of Department of Medical Genetics, Shinshu University School of Medicine and Division of Clinical and Molecular Genetics, Shinshu University Hospital. He had training of clinical genetics at Saitama Children’s Medical Center and Shinshu University Hospital after working as a general pediatrician and also a neonatologist. Since meeting a patient with EDS having characteristic features such as congenital multiple contractures, characteristic facies, and progressive fragility-related complications, now proved to have D4ST1-deficient (CHST14-mutated) EDS, Dr. Kosho has been immersed in clinical and pathophysiological characterization of the disorder, and also in clinical and molecular studies on all types of EDS through comprehensive clinics for hereditary connective tissue diseases.
