Roger Wolman, MD (Res), FRCP, FFSEM is a consultant in Rheumatology and Sport & Exercise Medicine. He trained at Manchester Medical School and did his postgraduate medical training in Rheumatology and SEM in London. Dr. Wolman did an MD thesis on the Female athlete triad while he was working at the British Olympic Medical Centre. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998 and of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2009. In 2008 he set up the Joint Hypermobility Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and, along with three consultant colleagues, has developed a multi-discipliniary team that provide both out-patient and in-patient treatment for patients with this condition. He also helped to launch the National Institute of Dance Medicine and Science in 2012. He runs weekly clinics in Rheumatology, Hypermobility, Sport & Exercise Medicine and Dance Medicine. His research interests include bone health and exercise prescription in chronic diseases.
